In the same week that it was reported that by 2015 China plans on producing 6.5 billion cubic meters of Shale Gas, and by 2020 plans are set to increase this figure to 80 billion cubic meters, we also saw demonstrators take to the streets in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, to ban Shale Gas exploration in the country. Due to public pressure France have banned Shale Gas exploration, but Germany have been fracking for so long now, it is seen as conventional, rather than conventional!
