Dr. Stevceva , originally qualified as a physician at University 'Kiril i Metodi' in Macedonia and worked as a practicing physician until entering research by completing a PhD in Medical Sciences from The Australian National University. Subsequently she received Fogarty International Fellowship to work on HIV vaccine at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, USA and had remained in vaccine research ever since. Dr. Stevceva has expertise and experience in basic and clinical vaccine research. She was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and had served as Medical Officer and Advisor on vaccine development for the Virology Branch of Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, NIH and Malaria Vaccine Initiative at PATH. She worked on vaccine products development with pharmaceutical partners such as Sanofi Aventis, GSK, Crucell and others. As a well-known vaccine expert, Dr. Stevceva is serving as a reviewer and advisor for ten international medical journals, five international granting agencies, the International AIDS Conference and is on the editorial board of three international journals.
