Waste Management is a global challenge particularly in developing nations. Increasing population, rapid urbanization and industrialization in developing countries has resulted in too much refuse being exposed which then poses health hazards and
a great challenge to municipal authorities. In Zimbabwe, the dollarization and land reform programmes have ultimately
resulted in the construction boom which has further escalated the waste problem. This event aims to present innovative and
sustainable solutions for all types of solid, industrial and medical wastes.
