The Inaugural Child Protection Forum 2013

Date: 10-Oct-13 to 11-Oct-13
Location: Sydney Harbour Marriot / Sydney / Australia
Category: Non-Profit & Government Conferences & Trade Fairs

The Inaugural Child Protection Forum will address abuse and violent treatment to minors and will examine chronic neglect, prevention, out-of-home care and juvenile justice. It will focus on the systems that ensure safety and wellbeing for children. The Forum offers the occasion for Federal and State governments, service providers, community and research leaders and NGOs to discuss the solutions for greater support of Australia's troubled children. It will also examine the present policy environment, differing forms of abuse, parental dysfunction and violence, protection in Aboriginal and CALD communities, medical and psychological care and sexual victimization. This event is a good opportunity to hear from several State regulatory bodies, the courts and research leaders on trends, best practices, and the structural and systematic barriers that exist. There will also be presentations on international experiences and case-studies.
