THE FUTURE GROWTH DRIVERS & CHALLENGES IN OMAN REAL ESTATE SECTOR
After several challenging years following the impacts of the regional & global financial crisis which has also brought significant impact to Oman market, the Oman real estate sector has continued to develop and is seen to become more vibrant in the coming years, due to the growing demands for residential and commercial units as major infrastructure and industrialization projects are being rolled out in the sultanate. One of which is the ambitious 2,244 km Oman national railway project which will link all the key industrial zones and the GCC rail network and is expected to be completed by 2018. Other prevailing factors are the developments of numerous Integrated Tourism Complex (ITC), commercial / retail projects, the increasing interest from foreign investors, growth of domestic population and purchasing power of the locales.
With this exciting progress, The Oman Real Estate Association in partnership with Al Nimr Conferences is organizing the 1st Oman Real Estate Conference which will take place on 26-27 May 2014 at the Al Bustan Palace, A Ritz Carlton Hotel, Muscat.
The aim of the 2-day conference is to gather local and international industry leaders and experts to share their views on the future of real estate market in Oman.
