11th. International AARCF (Accounting Academicians Research and Collaboration Foundation) Conference

The theme for the 2014 Conference is “Interdisciplinary Aspects of Accounting Research”. The Conference aims to bring together accounting researchers with broad social science interests and to raise issues regarding the way accounting affects, and is affected by social, political and economic environments and other disciplines.
The Conference is dedicated to the advancement of accounting theory and practice. It provides a platform to discuss the interaction between accounting and other disciplines. Contemporary research directions in accounting show a trend toward convergence of different and complementary approaches, seeking synergy among different research methods and disciplines. Accounting research can benefit from integration with advances in economic, organizational, and social theories. The Conference sessions and papers will critique contemporary theory and practice, examine historical and interdisciplinary dimensions of accounting research, debate policy alternatives, and explore new perspectives and changes in the field. Included in the program are plenary and concurrent sessions and research paper presentations on selected themes and issues, enhanced by keynote speakers.
