Where there is water there is life. The oilfield is no different and as a result, maintaining the production of oil and the use of water for pressure support presents novel issues to the process engineer. This course will deliver an all-round perspective of oilfield microbiology within the respective scenarios: Water injection, produced water and drains systems, produced water re-injection, reservoir souring and reservoir souring mitigation. Participating in the course will provide the attendees with a good grounded knowledge of microbiological side-effects and control within all of these systems.
