The objective of this webinar (45-minute presentation / 15-minute Q&A) is to outline the EI/JIG 1530 requirements for Refineries. Many Refineries have some level of compliance already with the intent of the standard, but this webinar provides an insight into the practical requirements Refiners will need to meet in order to self certify or gain third party independent certification.
Agenda
• EI/JIG 1530 background and today
• Objective of the standard
• Mandatory requirements within the EI/JIG 1530 for refineries including:
- QA
- Documentation
- Traceability
- Management of Change processes (MoC)
- Sampling
- Monitoring
- Product Release
- Storage
- Testing
• Certification Options
• Q & AQ
Background
The Energy Institute and the Joint Inspection Group have prepared a new standard for the aviation fuel refining, storage and distribution industry, EI/JIG Standard 1530.
EI/JIG 1530 provides a standard to assist in the maintenance of aviation fuel quality, from its point of manufacture through (sometimes complex) distribution systems to airports. It provides mandatory provisions and good practice recommendations for the design/functional requirements of facilities, and operational procedures
