RICS BIM Conference
Date: | 12-Feb-15 to 12-Feb-15 |
Location: | etc Venues / London / United Kingdom |
Category: | Banking, Finance & Investment Real Estate & Property Management Conferences & Trade Fairs |
BIM is about the way we work and how we work – the benefits BIM delivers throughout a project’s life cycle and the cost savings are substantial. A cultural change is required if BIM is to be properly implemented across built environment and property, ahead of the Government’s 2016 deadline for its use on all centrally procured public sector projects.
The BIM value proposition includes having a greater understanding of the entire life cycle process. It is important to understand the value proposition from the beginning so that we can better understand the end results. Customers are not getting the assets and the outcomes they want or need, hence BIM has a huge part to play in ensuring properties are received with better outcomes. Therefore, this conference will assess the where the real benefits of BIM lie and how the FM and operational sectors can seize the opportunities BIM offers.
The RICS BIM Conference returns for the 4th year with clear guidance from experts on how BIM is used on projects, in various sectors, and the experiences of the practices on their journey of implementing BIM.
The event will include key features throughout the programme on what is expected of you when implementing BIM, dealing with challenges and overcoming barriers, as well as meeting your client’s demands. The day will highlight lessons learnt from implementing BIM in practice, the role of BIM in supporting the operation of an asset and management of big data. Industry experts, advancing the use of BIM, will lead sessions in two break out streams; six sessions focused on strategy, management of data, processes, value and BIM future developments.
Furthermore, we are working on putting together a team of specialists and solution providers to demonstrate a live 3D model drawn in real time throughout the day.
