Over the past decade the mining industry has been the centre of a tug of war between the DEA and DMR. Needless to say the mining industry is compelled to comply to all legislation in order to stay avoid compliance directives and keep the green and blue scorpions at bay.

Intelligence Transfer Center will be hosting the 5th Annual EnviroMining Conference taking place on 18 & 19 March 2015 at Gold Reef City, Johannesburg.

Through collaboration this conference aims to provide a clear and concise understanding on what Government expects from industry. Ultimately encouraging compliance to both NEMA and the MPRDA among other key pieces of legislation relevant to the mining industry.

This conference will also look at pertinent topics that greatly influence the mining sector such as, the new Air Quality Emission Standards, safe disposal of acid mine drainage, obtaining your Water Use Licensing under the revised MPRDA as well as Mine Closure and Rehabilitation among others.
