The World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA) is the main international meeting in anaesthesia occurring every four years, and referred to as the Olympics of Anaesthesiology. The WCA serves as a benchmark for best practice in anaesthesiology, and aims to be inclusive on an education, logistical and financial basis for delegates from developing and developed nations. WCA has historically attracted over 8,000 participants, and Hong Kong is expected to be attended by over 9,000 delegates from around the world.
