CDP for teachers - Ofsted Criteria and Lesson Observation
Date: | 18-Sep-15 to 18-Sep-15 |
Location: | Regency Hotel / London / United Kingdom |
Category: | Education |
Despite Inspectors no longer grading individual lessons, schools still need to be aware of the current strengths and weaknesses of teaching and learning within each subject area. School leaders need to show their actions and responses as part of the leadership and management criteria.
This course is suitable for all senior staff and team leaders involved with classroom observation and professional development. Indeed all teaching staff will find it helpful to understand what Ofsted are looking for in an outstanding lesson and what the teacher now needs to demonstrate to achieve this.
The training will examine: the current emphasis of inspections, how to observe lessons using Ofsted methods, how observation can raise standards and how a variety of teaching styles and compelling learning experiences can be linked to improving attainment and progress.
Delegates will have the opportunity to observe a range of filmed lessons and evaluate their content.
Essential information for schools not inspected for last two years, those outstanding schools (graded 2 for teaching) prior to Jan 2012 and those schools wishing to improve rapidly.
