Ranch Day Retreat

Date: 27-May-15 to 28-May-15
Location: Will Rogers State Historic Park / United States
Category: Education Sport, Fitness & Recreation Culture, Society & Lifestyle

Ranch Day Retreat© is full day away from the desk, the office, the phone, email, texts, the laptop, the boss, the kids, the traffic, the bills, the parking, the people, and the urban craziness. That alone will make life better, but we’re going to add some trees, some grass, some dirt, and most importantly, some horses.

Equine Assisted Personal and Leadeship Development

Life improving, productivity enhancing, and leadership effectiveness tools are the take-away from this course.

Peace, Quiet, and Living Nature are the backdrop for absorbing new information about yourself, and the useful tools which will impact your social, family, and professional/business interactions.

Proven techniques for enhanced creativity and problem solving: Through basic meditation and inner attention, we will stop to evaluate and develop effective goals for renewal and direction.

Communication skills focusing on understanding non-verbal communication through the aid of equine observation and understanding.

Leadership strengthening skills are achieved by understanding prey versus predator and herd mentalities, assisted by equine observation.

Work ethic and individual contribution will be examined as it relates to nature.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The day offers a mix of contemplative opportunities, lectures, lessons and exercises. Some basic physical work may be involved, as well as some walking, standing, and getting your hands dirty. It’s a ranch retreat.

HORSE INVOLVEMENT

The day is non-riding, so riding skills are not needed. Horses will be an integral part of the instruction, but participants can choose the level of distance they are comfortable with. The Venue may offer trail riding, book separatley (with the Venue) for an end of the day ride.

With luck, optional Equestrian Q&A. Basic horse talk and your curious questions with a horse person.
