Love Crush Teen 2015 is more than a movement…
it is a Love Revolution for teen girls grades 9th through 12th
Speaker and Certified Life Coach Catherine Carroll’s story was missing a piece… and it was a piece that God would use to change her life in a way that she now feels she wants to share with teenage girls worldwide!
160 pounds overweight, Catherine lead a large lifegroup, raised enough money to build a school in Africa, prayed, read her Bible, went to church and still just could not figure out why she couldn’t win the battle she so desperately fought with her weight. She was longing for the life promised her by pastors, by friends, and most importantly by God Himself through his Word. Her faith was strong… why couldn’t she get it?
Humiliated and lost.. unafraid to finally admit she was questioning everything she had ever been told.. everything she knew… a friend knocked on her door and provided the answer she had been waiting for. She realized God had been waiting too, waiting for her to let go of herself and all of her ideas of how things should go and just be willing to let Him love her in a way she had not experienced. Slowly he turned her humiliation into humility and she began to learn that a very important part of the message Jesus spoke of when he defined what Loving God meant had been missing from her life.
The solution to her brokenness is something personal to her walk with God… the message he has for her is not… it is just overlooked and understated and she now wants to share it with the world.
I knew that God loved me. Yes, some days I questioned how much, some days I questioned why, some days I questioned how close He was… but I knew to live outside myself and serve others, and I did that.
