The new NICE guidelines on “Violence and Aggression: short-term management in mental health, health and community settings” recognise that violence and aggression directed towards staff is a serious and persistent problem within health and social care organisations.

This Preventing and Managing Violence and Aggression from Patients course will enable delegates to effectively implement the latest guidance. Those in attendance will gain the necessary skills to develop a violence de-escalation and prevention strategy to help avoid violent situations and manage them safely when they do occur.

Working with the trainer, Eric Baskind, International Expert on Violence Reduction and Physical Interventions & Professor Peter Tyrer, Chair of NICE guideline development group; delegates will review their current procedures against best practice case studies in interactive sessions and extended workshops.
