Learn to make sourdough rye breads, from light caraway flavoured rye loaves to medium dark European rye sourdoughs and a black bread or pumpernickel. Learn how to adapt our unique sourdough starter to the requirements of rye flour and the different processes to prepare, handle and bake rye based doughs. Participants take home a wide variety of rye breads prepared on the day, recipe sheets and our sourdough starter.
All courses include:


A full-day breadmaking course in a domestic kitchen with a maximum of four participants


12 months' membership of the Real Bread Campaign, part of the Sustain charity, which promotes proper bread, provides advice to bakers at all levels and supports community and artisan bakers all over the UK (worth £22.50)


A bundle of essential breadmaking equipment including banneton, mixing bowl, dough scraper and grignette (dough slasher) worth £24


12 months' breadmaking "technical support". You can call or email us at any time (within reason!) and we'll help you straight away.
