For several years, the public and private sector IT communities have been buzzing about big data and the application of advanced analytics to improve situational awareness, detect anomalous behaviors, and enable more data-driven decisions.  One area of increasing interest and application for data analytics is cybersecurity; how to leverage analytics to improve operating policies and procedures, while protecting information assets and mitigating enterprise risk.
For those organizations regularly accessing and managing sensitive information, advanced analytics based on open source technology can be used to evaluate user behavior for insights into organizational norms as well as detection and prevention of unauthorized access or use of sensitive information.  This kind of analysis can be a powerful, game-changing tool for public and private sector employers who are focused on defending their information assets, systems, and personnel. Learn how to stay a step ahead of threat actors and keep data secure by using predictive analytics in your environment.
