About Les Brown
Rising from humble beginnings, Les Brown and his twin brother was born in an abandoned building in Liberty City, Miami Florida and was adopted by his loving mother Mamie Brown. Raised in abject poverty, Les was labelled 'educationally retarded' and considered the ‘dumb twin’. Despite the low self esteem issues this caused, he learned to overcome the odds and reached his full potential with the help his mother and his favourite teacher mentor who inspired him by telling ‘someone’s opinion of you, does not have to become your reality’. He has won many awards for excellence incl., Toastmasters International Golden Gavel Award. His life mission has been to motivate everyone that “You have something special, you have Greatness within you”

His featured UK Speaker Althea Grant, is a former Solicitor. She arrived in London as a child immigrant to join her mother at aged 12. Having suffered many hardships and abuse in Trench Town, Kingston 12 Jamaica (made famous by Bob Marley). Althea arrived in the UK determined to put her childhood traumas aside and find a way to change her life. Her catchphrase is: #betterMUSTcome
