The APAC Women in Leadership and Management Summit 2015

Date: 08-Dec-15 to 09-Dec-15
Location: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre / Melbourne / Australia
Category: Conferences & Trade Fairs

Women’s participation in the workforce has long been recognised as a significant contributor to commercial growth and the socio-economic health of a nation. Nevertheless, recent workforce participation statistics from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency shows women making up only 45.8% of all employees in Australia. Many organisations that have recognised the integral importance of having gender diverse boards and leadership teams have reaped the benefits of increased financial performance, more effective workforce engagement and improved governance. Despite the growing body of evidence, women still only occupy about 20% of seats on ASX 200 boards. The rationale for the advancement of women in leadership in this context is very much about business success, not feminism.

The APAC Women in Leadership and Management Summit 2015 aims to provide an ‘all industry’ perspective on the key issues. It provides an outstanding faculty of leaders and mentors intent on supporting and nurturing future leaders. Speakers will share lessons from personal experience - the highs and the lows.

Inspiring stories from accomplished women and expert leadership and career advice will provide delegates with a range of strategies and tools to overcome common career challenges, enhance their leadership effectiveness and create a balanced personal and professional life that provides both career success and satisfaction.

The inspirational conference agenda is reinforced by practical workshop sessions led by experts who will offer innovative leadership tools and strategies, key insights and practical advice for aspiring female leaders to stand out, step up and build personal resilience. Register teams early to secure places at this outstanding event!
