ASIA 2016: Water Resources and Hydropower Development in Asia

ASIA 2016 will take place in Vientiane, Lao PDR. It is the 6th International Conference and Exhibtion in Asia organized by Aqua~Media International. The event will be beneficial to all those involved in the hydro, dams and water resources industries, including engineers, consultants, academics and governmental organizations. As well as the technical conference and exhibition, numerous social and networking events will be organized throught the conference and study tours will take place after the event. Laos has at least 3000 MW of new hydropower capacity currently under construction, and around 20 000 MW more planned for the future. The country also has experience in constructing a range of dam types and Asia as a whole faces numerous water resources challenges, including difficult site conditions, extreme flooding and sedimentation issues.
