Equality & Inclusion in the Workplace: the Law and Employee Engagement
Date: | 24-Nov-15 to 24-Nov-15 |
Location: | Timberyard / London / United Kingdom |
Category: | Banking, Finance & Investment Conferences & Trade Fairs |
We live in a multicultural society, a fact that both enriches our lives as well as creates potential misunderstandings. Legislation is in place to help businesses navigate equality and inclusion in the workplace, but it's not always clear-cut.
In this workshop, we'll answer questions like these:
What are the protected characteristics within the Equality Act (2010)?
What's the difference between diversity and inclusion?
What exactly is discrimination?
What's the difference between direct and indirect discrimination?
What are the duties towards disabled employees?
How do equality and inclusion relate to employee engagement?
This seminar is a collaboration between employment lawyer Seema Gill and employee engagement specialist Jasmine Gartner. In this event, we’ll be examining equality & inclusion from our two different perspectives. Together, we’ll provide some guidance and some practical information.
We also want to give you an opportunity to network with professionals from different businesses.
