Following the Queen’s Speech, the government has renewed its commitment to its apprenticeship scheme by pledging to create 3 million more apprenticeships by 2020.
In addition to this, the government has also announced that apprenticeships will be legally protected, to ensure all providers deliver the high quality training expected of an apprenticeship.
With public sector bodies being targeted on the number of apprenticeships they offer, and greater opportunities for employers wanting to take on an apprentice, organisations can help to directly address the skills gap, while promoting organisational and local growth.
