Operational Risk Modelling and Measuring - A Guide to Practitioners
Date: | 02-Mar-16 to 03-Mar-16 |
Location: | Radisson Blu Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel / London / United Kingdom |
Category: | Education |
Operational risk modelling has never been more topical. Recent announcements from the Basel Committee, outlining that they are
considering revisions to the Adanced Measurement Approach (AMA) for
Operational Risk Modelling, has opened up debate about the appropriateness
of the method; whether it needs to be revised or replaced completely. In the context of this ongoing debate over the future of AMA, this two-day course addresses the most recent issues in the discussion but also the background against which it is taking place.
The content will be presented in such a way to make it accessible to all.
Taught in plain English using graphs and intuition, this two-day, (almost)
formula-free workshop gives non quantitative practitioners a valuable
insight in to the work of modelling teams. The course will provide those
in attendance with an increased knowledge of operational risk modelling which will assist them in enaging with their internal teams, having a clearer understanding the model results they are presented with, and gaining a more complete understanding of the field of operational risk.
Presented by Dr Ariane Chapelle, a long time practitioner, consultant and, more recently, University College London Faculty member, this course aims to answer every question practitioners may have on how and why operational risk is modeled.
