Want to build an online design portfolio while capturing the perfect picture? Get creative and learn the fundamental skills of graphic design and photo
editing!
From learning the basic features of software editing tools to creating perfect colour compositions, students will build projects and get a glimpse of the world of graphic design.
Maker Tech School has partnered up with Newmarket's well known design firm, Treefrog, for this 8 week explorer session for kids ages 8-12. Students will use a variety of open source software such as Gimp, Canva and more!

Maker Tech School is an after school program for youth, located in Toronto and York Region.We provide a learning experience that teaches youth the fundamental skills of digital literacy and design, while encouraging them to become innovators and creators of technology in a collaborative environment. Through teaching youth to become makers, not just consumers of technology, they will shape their future and the future of the digital generation. Programs are created and developed by students and graduates with a background in New Media and Business from Ryerson University.
