30th Annual In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer

Date: 16-Jul-17 to 19-Jul-17
Location: Hotel del Coronado / United States
Category: Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals Conferences & Trade Fairs

This course addresses the needs of practicing scientists, gynecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, residents, and fellows who wish to expand their knowledge in this rapidly changing field by bringing together an internationally renowned faculty to present the latest developments in every phase of in vitro fertilization & embryo management. At the same time, the course will cover all basic procedures, clinical and laboratory challenges in a comprehensive manner for fellows, nurses and practitioners establishing their practices. Cutting edge research will be presented such as the use of stem cells & other techniques being developed for men & women suffering from gamete depletion.

The conference setting promotes extensive contact among speakers and participants with question periods, panels, and many opportunities for informal interaction. A mobile app will be utilized to access the material being presented & an audience response system will be used to promote interaction with the speakers.

Particular attention will be devoted this year to the rapidly developing trend toward deferred embryo transfer, the role of mild ovarian stimulation, new testing for endometrial receptivity, oocyte & embryo cryopreservation, time lapse imaging of early embryo development, the critical role of embryo energy supplies, mitochondrial DNA as a biomarker for embryo competence, the role of CoQ10 in improving mitochondrial function in aging women, practical aspects of ultrasound-guided transfer technique, and next generation techniques for PGS. A laboratory mini-symposium directed by Dr. William B. Schoolcraft will cover comprehensive chromosome screening challenges, newer techniques to assess endometrial receptivity, time-lapse assessment of embryos versus routine blastocyst culture, molecular assessments of sperm, oocyte freezing, & a diagnostic role for RNAs. An alternate mini-symposium will be given in Spanish by our speakers who currently work in Spanish-speaking nations.
