This conference will provide state-of-the-art discussion and instruction on comprehensive evaluation and management of challenging laryngeal-related disorders and corresponding rehabilitation techniques. The meeting will offer a multi-disciplinary approach on a wide variety of voice and swallowing topics, surgical procedures, cancer management, airway issues, techniques for post-surgical swallow rehabilitation, and post laryngectomy voice restoration. Pulmonary medicine, integrative medicine, and palliative care will be addressed from a MD, clinician, and research perspective. Optional 1/2-day workshops (separate registration required): TEP Placement, Intro to Manual Techniques - Head and Neck Cancer, Functional Voice Therapy, and Office-Based Laryngology Procedures-Hands-on Lab. Course format includes evidence-based lectures, multidisciplinary panel discussions w/case presentations and Q & A sessions, live demonstrations, and interactions with Mayo and guest faculty. Attendees can submit posters and also patient cases for "Stump the Panel" of experts.
